WHO ARE WE?
We are Nigel Coan & Ivana Zorn, the original creators of the animated sequences for The Mighty Boosh. These include, The Story of Charlie Bubblegum, The Story of the Funk, The Strange Tale of the Crack Fox among others. We're also responsible for all of the artwork that was used to create Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.
WHY ARE WE SELLING THESE PRINTS NOW?
After all of our years in the industry, The Mighty Boosh is still the thing we get asked about the most. We are so proud to have played a small part in what has become a classic series. So I guess our drive to make these prints is part nostalgia, us looking back on good times. We've always had the original artwork hanging around our studio, which has only ever been seen as part of the animations. So we thought maybe you might want to enjoy the artwork too.
Since we launched these prints, they've proved really popular, so we've also created some prints from our work on Luxury Comedy...we really hope you enjoy them too.
What are we selling?
CHARACTER PORTRAITS
These are A4 character portraits from The Mighty Boosh, painted by Ivana Zorn. There are 26 in total, so hopefully your favourite character is among them. Originally painted in acrylics, they have been re-scanned and prepped to give the highest quality prints possible.
They're only available as A4 prints as this is the size they were originally painted.
ANIMATION MONTAGES
We've also made A2 prints using the artwork from our animations seen in series 1-3 of The Boosh. All scanned from the original paintings, and carefully cut out to form these montages. This artwork has never been seen like this, and we've kept the elements as they were originally painted, ready for animation (that's why they're in bits!).
Some of the characters are based on original sketches by Noel, but then realised by Ivana.
LUXURY COMEDY
A collection of A2 and A3 prints from our work on the Luxury Comedy animations and environments. We had such a good time on Luxury with Noel, total freedom to create what we wanted. These prints show a small selection of the work we did. We hope you enjoy them.
As with the Boosh, some of the characters are based on original sketches by Noel, then realised by Ivana.
HIGH QUALITY GICLÉE PRINTS
We only wanted to sell prints if we could ensure the final quality. We've tested all of them to make sure they are as close to the original artwork as possible. Printed on 308gsm Hahnemühle Photorag paper we think you'll be really pleased with the quality of the final print.
